In these challenging times, I stand firmly with the Nigerian people in calling for an end to the bad governance that has plagued our nation. The words of Seun Okinbalooye ring true: this is not a moment for the display of power or the dismissal of the cries of our citizens. The suffering is palpable across all strata of society—from private sector employees and civil servants to business owners, traders, and ordinary citizens.
The cost of living has skyrocketed, while the government continues its unchecked extravagance for elected officials. Promises made during elections have been forgotten, and the plight of the people is met with deaf ears. This administration has systematically dismantled the middle and lower classes, implementing wasteful policies that have crippled our economy. The surge in crime rates is a direct consequence of these failures.
We must speak truth to power. It is imperative that all lovers of democracy communicate to President Bola Tinubu the true state of our nation. The disconnection between the government and the people must be addressed with urgency and honesty.
The path forward requires transparency, accountability, and a commitment to the welfare of every Nigerian. We cannot afford to ignore the voices of those suffering or the realities of our current situation.
